The Little Black Dress

The Little Black Dress or known as LBD is a solved from question “What to wear to the…?” just name it… cocktail party, birthday party, prom, dinner, play, dates until wedding party. LBD are always in style. Black cocktail dresses and black party dresses are timeless, seasonless favorite for parties all year around. Black is a universal color. It can also look great in every color skin and body shape. LBD concept is a simple anomaly to the fashion industry that always changes in short time. LBD concept doesn’t limited by social status, style and size. Even if it cost 10 millions $ or 100 $ in small size or extra large size, the name will still Little Black Dress.

Modern Little Black Dress
LBD introduced by Coco Chanel on 1926 which took the world by storm and keep on going everyday. During that time women wore corsets with heavily embroidered dresses in striking colours. Chanel represented emancipation from discomfort with a chic simplicity impeccably blended with sophistication. The design included any black dresses, with no fancy lace or embroidery, sleeved or sleeveless and short or long by choice. She infused the free spirit of her own character into her designs to suit the needs of the modern woman and became the fashion icon for women across the world. She used the black color which was earlier worn only at funerals or was reserved for the clergy or lawyers. This dress was designed during the period of her romantic involvement (from 1926 to 1931) with the Duke of Westminster. She incorporated English fashion into her designs – taking English tweeds, sweaters, sailor’s berets, etc.

Chanel’s designs were realization of women’s liberation. She was a designer for the aristocracy, but her designs slowly permeated to the streets and became a choice for thousands of women. Her designs were generally criticized by the fashion critics of her time as being too simple, too casual, too soft and not sensational enough. But she refused to heed their remarks. Chanel was an innovator and not a follower. She shed gaudy colors, frills, layered dresses and traditional hair styles. Her designs were modern and fresh. They were fit for the outdoors, so that women may feel comfortable while they look fabulous. Chanel designed everything that should and could have been known as fashion – from hats to clothes, from handbags to sunglasses, from perfumes to accessories – Chanel truly redefined fashion in the way she wanted.
“In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.”

How to Look Pretty After Age Thirty ?

Getting older is a must for everyone and middle age is particularly fraught with tension to a woman. Do the sexy clothes you wore in the past now seem just plain wrong? Will smokey eyes make up that used to look good on you just make you look a plain crazy? That's just a part of the problem that often to happen to women when they starting to get their thirties age.

The biggest mistake for a middle age woman is when she is not doing anything at all. Hair, make up and clothing that made us look fantastic in our younger years often won't fit anymore as we grow older. If we want to look gracefully with our age, we'll need to make some changes.

Here is some make up tips that will make us look pretty even our age is more than thirty.

Make up for a dark skin
1. Use a natural make up on our face. Do it lightly with the right way.

2. Do not cover the wrinkles on the eyes or face with too much foundation. If we use too much foundation, that will make it crumpled on the wrinkles and that will make us look older. Pick a foundation with a little darker tone compared to our skin. Rub it slightly all over the face and the neck.

3. It is better for us if we use a moisturizer first before we put a foundation on the face. Use the moisturizer slightly and wait for about 5 minutes to give it time to penetrate the deeper skin layers. Dry the face with a facial tissue then we can apply concealer for the eyes and foundation for the face and neck. If we didn't do like this, it will cause a crumpled between the moisturizer and the foundation and it will block the skin pores and forming a pimple.
Natural eye make up

4. Pick a translucent face powder to make a smooth make up on our face.

5. Use one color tone for the eyes. That will look better at these ages. For example, dark green. Put a dark green eyeshadow on the eye lid then we can use brown green color under the eyebrow. The most important is put the darkest color on the eyelid and the lightest color under the eyebrow and the middle tone at the boundary. If we want to get much brighter eye make up, we can use highlighter with golden green color.

6. If we want to use eyeliner, put it just a little and only on the upper lid of the eye. The brown eyeliner will look better on the white skin and the black eyeliner will look better for someone with a dark hair.

Bright lipstick color
7. As we grow older, the eyelash also getting thin and easy to loose. Use the mascara to help it looks thicker. Wipe off more at the upper eyelash rather than the lower one. If we need to use an artificial eyelash, pick an eyelash that is not to thick and too long. So, it will look more natural on our eyes.

8. The face skin tone will look paler when we grow older. Pick a bright color for the lips and match it with the blush on. It will be better if we use lip conditioner first before we use lipstick and it will be better too if we didn't use lip liner at these ages. The lip liner will make us look unnatural.

9. Wipe off the blush on start from the cheek to the outer side. Do not put it too close to the nose and eyes.

Just remember that beauty start from inside of yourself. The make up just cover the outside look. Be happy and be pretty every time and every where. Age just a number, anyway! ^__^
